For those of us that enlisted post SVN in the early to mid 70's Ike was one of those extraordinary men that taught us our craft, but as well as that they taught us what it was to be part of the Cavalry.
It was not all work and many was the time these men would sit and talk and recall stories from the past, many of the stories were funny, a lot where the humor was 'black' and some that left all in no doubt of the serious nature of times gone by and occasionally leaving all with a tear in the eye.
Ike ROBIN you are one of the great men and it is a priviledge to have known you, the world is poorer now that you are gone but we are much much richer for having known you.

RIP Ike ROBIN RIP
No further details are available, will advise
Wait out.
My memories of Ike was many and in recalling them you do so with nothing but a smile on your face. Like the time when I was in hospital with Ike I was in there with my shin and he was in there for some procedure the hosp in those days was out at Pallerander, any way one morning when the Doc's came around we were all sitting on top of the bed however Ike had dropped off to sleep and let's say he was having agreat dream and was standing to attention so when the head sister walked past him she flicked him with her fingers; or the time when Ike and Titmouse (Murray Titums) had there usual cultural discussions; or another time when we out bush, some of us were in 2tp and Ike was in 1tp we were working together at this time up at high range, on the last night we had a bonfire and Ike invited us all around to his place over the weekend for a hungy?(spelling not sure), when we arrived there was no movement we went around the back went in the back door it was amatter of being caught on the kitchen table. At least he was still able to have a good singalong later. A great memory of areally good man.
At least the bloke upstairs has now got a graet tp sgt. RIP Mate we at 3 cav will be richer from knowing you.
I would like to send my deepest sympathy to all family and friends.
From Lorraine and Rob (dinky).
