MTF-4 on parade prior to deployment

G'day all,

Almost 900 soldiers about to deploy to Afghanistan were publicly recognised by their family, friends and colleagues during an official farewell parade at the weekend.

The 7th Brigade parade, held at Gallipoli Barracks, Enoggera, comprised of soldiers preparing to serve with Mentoring Task Force Four (MTF-4), Combined Team Uruzgan (CTU), Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT), Artillery Training Team-Kabul (ATTK) and the Special Operations Task Group (SOTG).

The majority of the soldiers farewelled will leave for Afghanistan in January. Around seventy soldiers from the 7th Brigade will deploy to East Timor.
